Applications are open for the Luleå University of Technology Scholarships in Sweden for 2024. These scholarships cater to Bachelor and Master’s degree programs, benefiting international students by covering tuition fees and living expenses. Luleå University of Technology (LTU) offers two new scholarships for 2024 aimed at top academic students. This applies to the bachelor program in Mineral Resource Engineering and the master program in Electrification.
LKAB-scholarship for students applying to the international bachelor program in Mineral Resource Engineering.
LTU scholarship for students applying to the master’s program in Electrification.
The scholarships are granted on the basis of academic excellence. Priority is given to applicants that have chosen one of the programs as their first choice.

Scholarship Benefits
Students from countries within EU/EEA and Switzerland (non-Swedish citizens): Can apply for a scholarship that covers living expenses. SEK 12,000 per month.
Students from a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland: Can apply for a scholarship that covers the tuition fee at LTU for the whole length of the programme, provided that the study results are satisfactory. The scholarship does not cover living expenses.

Required documents
The application should provide the University with a Curriculum Vitae, a motivation letter and a letter of recommendation. The motivation letter and the letter of recommendation must contain no more than 600 words each. The following questions should be answered in the motivation letter:
- Why do you want to study this program?
- What other qualities do you have besides academic excellence?
- What are your career aspirations?
In order to have a successful application, make sure to be eligible, complete all these steps of the process, and that you have the documentation required to finalize your application in time.
– In the application, make sure to:
- Have your 8-digit application number at hand (from your account/application on universityadmissions.se)
- Use the same e-mail address as the one you registered at your account on universityadmissions.se
Selection process
Scholarship Selection Process:
– Scholarships are primarily awarded based on academic excellence.
– The selection process happens simultaneously with the admission process.
– To be eligible for a scholarship, you must meet the admission requirements of your chosen program.
Notification:
– Scholarship offers will be sent between late March and early May.
– Luleå University of Technology cannot provide early notifications about scholarship status.
– All scholarship applicants will be informed once the selection process is complete.
Acceptance:
– If you receive a scholarship offer, you must confirm your acceptance by the specified deadline.
– Failure to confirm by the deadline will result in the scholarship offer being revoked.
Application Changes:
– If you need to modify or add anything to your application, you must submit a new application.
– In such cases, your previous application will be canceled.
