The OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities through our Research Intern program in STEM fields. The duration of the internship is typically from 2 to 6 months. These short-term placements give students the opportunity to gain experience in a particular laboratory or to learn a specific technique. Interns will work under the direction of a Professor and contribute to the research activities of OIST.
The best thing about the scholarship is that it’s Online. Applicants from any country can attend this internship by setting it at their homes. This is a 2-6 Month internship for students who are interested in the fields of science. There is no need to pay the application fee for the International summer internship at Osaka University.
Even you Don’t even need to give any English language test (IELTS) or other language Tests for the Osaka University International Summer Program. Students of Undergraduate, Graduate degrees are eligible to apply. The students who are interested in the fields of Science, Technology, Mathematics, and Engineering can apply. *Selection results for the Research Internship Program will be announced via the Navii system.
*Due to COVID-19, arrivals of students residing outside of Japan is subjected to international travel restrictions and quarantine requirement at the time of arrival. As the situation is subject to change, while OIST will provide the best support possible, there are cases where internships must be delayed, postponed or even cancelled.
Internship Benefits
- The intern will get a daily allowance of 2400 JPY, the weekends will be excluded and the allowance will be taxable. No tuition fee
- A fully paid round-trip air ticket will be provided.
